The golf resort Mar Menor Village Golf can be found in the province of Murcia, next to the town of Torre Pacheco. The course is spread over approximately 59 hectares and has a maximum length of 6,153 metres for a very demanding par 72. The green zone, or playing zone, makes up 45 hectares, with the rest dedicated to gardens with a variety of local plantlife.
The course is situated 5km from the Mar Menor in a location privileged to witness the beauty of this immense interior sea.
If you decide to play this course designed by two of the world’s biggest names in golf, you will benefit from two playing sensations in one golf course.
Mar Menor Village Golf was designed by David Thomas in its first nine holes, a par 37 of 3,275 metres at its longest point, requiring good shots to place the ball on the fairways with limited rough, and its greens are protected by bunkers and by the water of the surrounding lakes.
The back nine holes, designed by Nicklaus Design, is a par 35 of 2,878 metres at its longest point. They present wide fairways and plenty of rough which allow big hits, and worthy of a special mention is a spectacular lake which enshrouds holes 13, 14 and 15, making the water the biggest obstacle to get around. The rest of the holes are protected by strategic bunkers.
